Deploying using scripts in Jenkins becomes more and more challenging with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure. While Open Source Spinnaker (OSS) is an excellent choice for POC, OSS lacks many business-critical functions required for production use. Moreover, the lack of simple self-service application on-boarding becomes an adoption bottleneck, particularly when dealing with large numbers of applications.
